That’s where we came in.
Making Drainage Work for the Long Haul
This job was all about restoring form and function.
Over time, the curbs around Stanley’s landscaped medians had started to break down. Runoff from rain and snowmelt had eaten away at the concrete near key drainage points. Not only did this pose a risk for vehicles and pedestrians, but it also threatened the stormwater flow the lot was designed to handle.
Our team at Boswell Concrete & Asphalt was called in to make precision curb repairs that wouldn’t just patch things up—they had to last.
Matching the Original, Improving the Outcome
When you’re working on an existing parking lot, it’s not enough to pour new concrete and call it a day. Every line, slope, and surface needs to match what’s already there, or you create more problems than you solve.
That was the challenge here: repair the curb without disrupting the water flow or changing the aesthetic of the lot.
We removed the damaged curb section and poured a fresh concrete apron with clean transitions on both sides. Our team paid special attention to grading—ensuring water would flow naturally from the asphalt to the drainage channel without pooling or undermining the new work.
The result is subtle, but it matters: a smooth, strong curb cut that protects the parking lot from erosion and improves safety for vehicles and pedestrians alike.
A Clean Finish to Match a Clean Repair
Once the concrete had cured and the area was cleaned up, we made sure the parking lines nearby were bright and bold.
That fresh striping added to the visual clarity of the lot, reinforcing our belief that the small details—like crisp lines and seamless concrete—make a big difference on large properties like this one.
